The Eatery @ 4 Point Hotel (Sheraton), Kuching

That place - the eatery, has got promotion. Dinner buffet for RM34 only, actually i dunno what is the actual price, because drinks can be ordered, served soft drink and juice, as well as some coffee and beer XD but have to pay extra for those not included.

5S4 year 2002, i think there were at least 30 of us, but last night there were around 10 haha but it's ok la better than no gathering. Spending time with ex-classmates it's actually good, get to know ppl better, and spend time thinking back on my high school time...

Monday going to see doctor and get my medical check up done... Rumours confirmed posting coming in mid August, means i will have to report for duty in Sept... happy? i seriously dun thnk so ...

Pavilion KL: Dain Ti Hill

See? i am standing straight, no more bending!

Yes, today i have gone to pavilion to search for white shirt to wear for convo, but mission fail as there is nothing i like. But, we went to eat in Dain Ti Hill, which we havent gone to for quite some time. It's nice, no no, it's great!! But i came back to rest after a few walk and decided not to risk anymore.

Firstly, it is the signature beef, today's standard is good, the meat is well cook with the correct texture.

This is the crispy chicken. Wanted to order mustard chicken, but can't resist the crispy-ness.

Then, this is the XO sauce pork which kshih loves very much and i don't quite like the smell

Fish! dunno wat is the name. Wanted to order since very long time ago, and it is really good - meat is so soft and smooth, no smell at all

Okay, the day before yesterday we went to Zanmai again and won another Rm20 voucher, but spent all already and kshih's birthday is near, so the zanmai ppl sing her a birthday song, then free a Matcha Ice-cream.. FREE okay~

Fish season - AH KHOON Fishball shop

this is us, i dressed nice in my new shirt which i bought before IMU ball and kshih is in her house/dinner t-shirt which she complaint the whole journey XD

Yes, i have made it to ah khoon, really miss the white coffee. Today, after kshih's final exam, we went down to town to eat ah khoon, too bad eefen is not around. Oh ya, the curry laksa and tomyam is damn nice, but sorry la, josantoes is sick and kshih is on diet so didnt order then didnt take pic of it.. but nvm, sure will go back and snap picture before i go back to kuching.

it has been more than 1 month since the last time i went. Tables and chairs all change to Marble tables and chairs, which means that shop is really earning even though the economy is on the down side =)

I really miss the white coffee, think i would want to buy a packet back to kuching =)

So, i don't eat the wan tan mee in KL, as it is black in colour and it doesn't smell good. But, the black noodle in AH khoon is really good. And it tastes like kolo mee (black ones) but its is not with char siew, it is with fish balls soup and it is healthier.. Then the favourite comes...

Fu chuk is one of the things in KL that i will miss. I really love it~

Fish Head Noodle

Fish Head Noodle is something i am going to miss when i go back to kuching. This is the shop we just found out in Kuchai Lama, and the fish head meehoon is super good that it does not taste like fish XD. I don't like fish, but i love this fish head meehoon =)

This is the bowl of fish head meehoon, got lots of pork oil, but i took them out. Okay, basically, inside there are tomato, ginger and milk...! It's really good XD wanna bring my grandma here and try, she is going to love it.

I also like this, this is basically just fried fish cake... my grandma also can do this, but she is old so i wont want to bother her doing this for me, it's a hard process though.

Okay, today is not a fastfood delivery day, and i am happy!

Midvalley and ZANMAI sushi~!

Okay, this is the longest period of time that i had spent at home for the whole 4 years of living in KL. Not going Midvalley for 3 weeks is way too long for me.. today, i made it! i made it to midvalley and enjoy my beloved ZANMAI sushi.

Zanmai sushi now celebrating their 2nd year anniversary and is giving out RM2o voucher during their happy hour. It is 7-8pm and everyday there is different theme. Today is Nigiri sushi - those with rice with unagi, salmon, tamago on top and tie with seaweed those type... Zanmai has always be my choice since it opened in The Gardens last year. From the day the supervisor and the crew treat me like strangers and now we are like friends =) Talk and laugh, keep coming to scan my plates with the UV light to check if there is any stamp that indicate a free RM20 voucher.. Finally, in the end, I won 2 RM20 (which is RM40) voucher and the whole restaurant cheers (of coz those working there only lo) and i think it's fun! The most important thing is the RM20 voucher can be used immediately with no term and condition... Hahahaha.. 

Kaeshih said i always talk to strangers.. but i think this time round, by making friends with the zanmai supervisor and one of the waitress has make me won RM40 and always make a way to let me sit near the sushi bar.. haha hahahhaahahaha 

Hahaha.. we keep eating la.. then ah until the last plate is the salmon with rice.... yer.. hahaha but nvm tat's the plate tat we won the 2nd RM20 voucher! Thanks to zanmai and the ppl working there!

Of coz, josantoes needs to rest in order to walk further.. 

Canton-i in The Garden

Whee~ Finally tried this restaurant, newly open in The Garden, from Dragon-i group of restaurant -- > Canton-i. It serves hong kong food, but definitely better than KimG*ry orWongK*K.. The pictures below are taken from MASAK-MASAK food blog =) That owner ate exactly what i ate with kshih just now but we did order the taufu fah - San SHui tau fu fah that always been mentioned in TVB movie ( i think the sri petaling botak apek makes better taufufah lo...

The exterior, this is the 1u outlet but they look exactly the same. So many people waiting and i think it took us around 30mins to wait for 2 seat and we got the middle table which is very close to the two table besides.. the couple sat on my left side really served as entertainment show for both kshih and i, i will tell the story later

Okay, this is what i eat -> dry wanton mee with 2 roast combination
The springy wanton mee - no flour taste but it is black, i dun quite like it, but it is springy!

serve with: 1) Roasted Pork (sio bak)
I tell you, it's only a few pieces of that size (<6)>

Aduh, the char sio is nice lo, not so fat and not so lean... yum yum...oh we did order one portion of chicken but sorry la, cant find any pic here.. kshih said the chicken is nice, as it is tender and not so well cook. of coz i dun eat that much, as there is blood coming out from the bone and i dun like it le...

okay, kshih ordered the signature shrimp wanton soup noodle. the MASAK MASAK blog only show the shrimp, so i only can put the shrimp here lo
erm, i think those wanton in kshih's bowl looks better than this =)

Then, we order the egg tart which is very nice as well.. There is this LCD outside the shop keep showing the process of making the signature dishes and we saw the egg tart. WAH really make my stomach make noise le.. so we order lo

The thing is crispy on the outside, soft and warm from the inside.. Really nice one. Unlike the tong kei in sri petaling, this one no pork oil smell, not so hard le the egg fillings... but of coz its more expensive.

Okay back to the couple sitting beside me. Aduh, its so funny lo, they keep ordering their food until it fills up the whole table - one plate of rice with those mix roasted thing, really big portion. then they order the red bean pig pao like dragon-i, chee chiong fun one plate with 3 really big and thick and with fillings inside, one claypot of chicken i suppose and one dimsum(4 siu mai). They order so much but actually wasted 1/2 of the food they order.. the kids in africa no food to eat le, even the waiter who clear their table also shake his head when he saw almost 3/4 portion of the claypot chicken is untouched.

GOodness, before their food come, they are talking and talking about what to eat lo.. then suddenly the waiter come and take their order, the waiter speak chinese to the lady. but the lady answered in english, talking to the boyfriend le telling him what she wants i suppose and not talking to the waiter. ok lo, the boyfriend makes the order in cantonese while the girl continue ignoring the waiter (with one kind of bitchy and i-am-so-high-class look)

okla, initially i thought she might be a banana and she cannot understand mandarin so she speak english to the boyfriend and ask the boyfriend to order food for her. Manatau when i carefully listen to their conversation...

the boyfriend: Eh, today is exactly one month the day we go taiwan ho
girl: err hmmm..
the boyfriend: ... (continue bla bla bla dunno what he say la i didnt pay attention)
girl: the restaurant at where one le?
(oh my god!!! some pseudo-banana speak "london"/pseudo-english with terms like AT WHERE)
the boyfriend: oh i think food upstairs restaurant better ho (then bla bla bla again)
girl: oh, thing i want to buy one is not this shop one, the one i want is the other shop one
(pseudo-banana, got so many one this and one that is it...???)

then i was like =.=|||.. your english not so good also, pls dun pretend like you do.

It's like oh my god~ pls lo... if you go to english speaking restaurant like italianese, chillis, fair enough lo you can speak english and speak in whatever standard also no one would say a word lo.. but this is a chinese speaking restaurant, and the waiter all speak cantonese or mandarin, dun go pretend you are damn good in english speaking and behave like tat.. aduh.. really cannot tahan ppl like this =.=

i have many banana fren also, and i never heard this term "at where" and so many "one" in their conversation lo.. sigh.. but good la got entertainment mah wahahahahahaha

yeah, my english is not so damn good, but at least i am not like tat lo.. -.-|||

BR's Chocolate Fondue

Yes. Finally i have a taste of BR chocolate fondue. Since BR has an outlet in The Gardens, i have always wanted to try. =) today we went to meet wee in MV and we decided to order BR chocolate fondue and it is better than HD.

20 scope is RM39.90 so we decided to order the large one with 30 scope of ice-cream RM49.90

It has more ice-cream than fruits or cookies.
HD has lots of cookies and fruit and is more expensive.
SO, BR is better!

When ice-cream dips into the warm pool of chocolate, it hardens and form a coat on the ice-cream.. Whee~ josantoes likes it!

And wee is here! Weekend will be more colorful with you in KL..
Maybe we shall go down to kuantan and arrange BBQ XD

FOOD food and Food : FATTY BAK KUT TEH

Yes, i know... I am talking about food again. I just want to share what i eat recently. Last night went to Fatty Bak Kut Teh in Old Klang road... I think it is nice.. Well, compared to the subang's, i prefer this one as it is nearer, the meat got more taste, they give a lot of fried onion for the vege and the vege don't have vege smell.. most importantly the waiters and waitress are very friendly..

The soup is superb! Thick one wei... and they are not stingy, we ask them to add soup and they really add until full pot!

Aduh, the bad thing is their yau cha kuai is not nice at all.. not crispy but very soft and a bit oily, then they keep introducing dishes which i don't quite like, they will also say your order is not enough to eat la and keep bla bla bla asking u to order more.. but then its okay la.. hehe

Nice bak kut teh!! Think tonight will go and eat teochew restaurant again. I have a 6th sense that kshih will bug me to go. Okay, off to jogging!! Yes, josantoes is healthy!

Food Food and food!!

Nowadays i have found new love.. It's near.. Old klang road and it has a lot of food all the time.. hehe okay, the picture i am putting now take from rasa-rasa.com and a food blog.. yes, i don't really take picture of the food as i always started eating before i remember about taking picture..

they serve porridge and rice with those dishes that you can choose lo

kshih says this restaurant is own by a penang teochew fella because the name of the shops say so, (refers to the chinese words) BING = Penang, HWA = chinese, TEOCHEW = its a type of dilect like hokkien, cantonese and hakka - so the combination makes the shop sounds like this :

The boss is a penangite, chinese who is a teochew and he owns this restaurant.

Semester 7...!

YES, Semester 7.

Well, semester 7 can be easy and can be hard. Can be free and busy also. Some of us, has to be in the lab from 8-5, doing extraction, discussion and even do mock presentation. Well this is good, as there are things to do.. =D while, lazy josantoes, who is always lazy.. sleep until the "moon" comes out, and play game. Without doing mock presentation, without lab. this is great too!

So, after the oral presentation, it's another part of semester 7 already. I am done with proposal, so will proceed to conducting my research. Well, research sounds very scientific, but i tell you, you won't think so after you hear my research title...

As usual, there will be some photography session...
and some entertainment/activity after the hard work...

It's RM21.8 per pax compared to the first time i went when i am in semester 4, it is only RM18.9. But i think its worth it if i can eat a lot, and they have a lot of variety. Even chicken already got several type of marination : lemon and satay.. Fish, clam, crab, prawn... those BALLS.. fruits, even konyaku (to michie "kinokunya?") hahaha..

Susssy meal first in Zanmai, The Garden. The banner says rebate rm20 with rm100 in single receipt. Thought it would discount right away, manatau its given in voucher .. =.=||| which means i am gonna eat zanmai soon, sometimes.. err.. but its kinda worth it la, because the expiry date of the voucher is 31December2008.. and this is a promotion until end of May...!
